Keeping Busy

Hey lovely people, hope everyone is doing fine.

Some of you may know I just completed my final year dissertation and exams. Waiting on my results hasn't been fun at all.

So I found out dissertation results are out but I can't get my results!! (ridiculous, sad face) called the department that should have my result but was directed to my supervisor who I haven't been able to get a hold of.

To keep myself sane and busy, apart from applying for a better full time job, I decided to look for a possible graduation outfit.

When I choose outfits, am all for comfort, simplicity but remaining CHIC at the same time. I want a nice dress paired with some cute wedges, as I would be on my feet a good few hours.

Graduation outfit
When I decided to look for a graduation outfit, I wanted something CLASSIC not trendy as I don't want to look at my grad pictures in 20 years and and say 'WHAT WAS I THINKING'

I choose this cute red dress for the pop of colour but still remaining classic with the cute wedges for comfort paired with the cute stud earrings.

Anyone who lives in Northwest England (Liverpool), knows the weather is nothing to write home about, even when its meant to be summer with the beautiful sun out shinning bright, we get cloudy sky, rain and wind.

So I opted for the simple black jacket just in case we get a gloomy weather on grad day paired with a black clutch.

This is only a representation of what I  intend to wear for my graduation ceremony.

For my fellow 2012 graduates, first CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! and how do you intend to celebrate. Am going London, my Mum is adamant about putting a lil party for me, cant say no, so I would be celebrationg the next day with friends and family.

Stay blessed and beautiful!!!

Been treating myself!!!

Hey lovely people, hope you had a great weekend.

So I have been busy just doing me....

So I decided to treat myself a little more than I would usually do, a little more wouldn't hurt, well it hasn't yet.

As summer approaches, I decided to jump on the colour block wagon, well I haven't been feeling really colourful with my outfits as the weather here is most of the time cloudy, rainy and raining.

I am a SHOPALOHLIC!!! I admit it!!!! and my weakness is SHOES!!! a girl can neve have too many shoes. (what is/are your guilty pleasures)

These are a few the colour popping items I picked up

I saw these babies and thought 'I am having you both',

Then I saw the red studded flats, which cam in various colours, but the MR preferred the red one so I grabbed it.

And these jeans... wat can I say.... I am injecting colour into my wardrobe.

I treated myself to a few pairs of shoes (went shoe crazy) which I would be sharing once I have them delivered.

Think I have done enough shopping to last a long time, but as a girl that likes to shop I can't help myself, I am looking for cute statement jewelries to add to my collection.

What items are you loving for spring/summer season.

Loving... (1)

Hey lovely people, hope you all are having a great weekend so far.

I thought I start a lil series showing things am loving, which can range from cosmetics, clothes, shoes and even books.

The last two months I've been reaching for the same lipgloss and lipstick. When it comes to glosses and lipstick, I prefer pinks and neutral (more of my lip colour).

The lipgloss is Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in Snog from Superdrug. It's a nice mauvey pink, it's the colour of my lips but with a tad bit of pink to it. I wear it when am not sure what colour to choose from my ever growing collection.

My other loving is Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Celeb. My Mr's mum had a rimmel lipstick and I wanted it but ended up buying the wrong colour. I ordered it online when it arrived I thought I was going crazy cos the colour was different but ended up loving the colour on me. it's very moisturising and pigmented, I've got dry lips so I can't be dealing with matt lipsticks.

In fact the combination of both is just perfect for everyday wear and on a night out.

I have also been loving the mineral blush from Mary Kay in Cinnamon Stick.

For everyday I prefer a nice rosey natural blush and the Cinnamon Stick gives me that natural blush to me cheeks.

Please forgive all my pictures being at the end and not mixed within my rambling.

Please hit me up if there's anything you think I should try out.

Been Gone Too Long

Hey hey!!! I know I know I know, I've been hiding for too long. As this is my last year in uni, I was busy with assignments, dissertation and exams. Every time I try blogging, I actually start but I always find myself distracted by something else. I actually wrote all I wanted to write about but I didn't finish before starting work, so I saved it since I now use the app but woke up this morning to find that it didn't save.

Anyways enough of my rambling, hope everyone is doing great and Good Luck to every one who has assignments, projects, dissertations and exams on their plate!!!

A lot has happened since I last blogged but I promise not to be gone that long again.

I thought I'd share some pictures to keep my face remembered.

Ohh am on instagram!!! (name:Tiazcorner) Check me out and I shall do the same to you (wink wink).

Brown Mustard

Hey lovely people. I am back with another post. Can't believe I am posting another blog within 24hrs of my last post.

I went to see a friend (harriet) yesterday I hadn't seen in a while. I was meant to go on Sunday but with travelling, I lost track of time and thought Saturday was Sunday and was ready to go on Saturday instead.

We met in town, went food shopping then went into Debenhams to get a dress Harriet kept on hold. Whilst in the store, some lady walked up to me and asked where I got my hair from (I have never been approached about my hair before), told her where I got my hair from and she thought it was the normal weave you get from the beauty store.

Anyways I just wanted to share what I wore. I have been loving the colours mustard, brown, cream and beige for a while now.

This is the outfit I wore to go see my friend, took my blazer as the weather is now a bit chilly.

Start of Spring

Hey lovely people, hope everyone is doing fine.

I am doing ok, but haven't been great as I haven't been feeling too good for the last 2 weeks. Anyways on to the good stuff.

I went on holiday to Centre Parc (Sherwood Forest). Fortunately the weather was wonderfully great reaching 22 degrees which is very rare in the month of March in the UK as its the start of spring which comes with loads of rain.

On Monday, we arrived to the parc around 1pm but couldn't go into the villa till 3pm. The MR was eager to go swimming but I wasn't feeling up to it as I was still recovery from being sick.

Anyways with much persuasion I changed into my swimsuit and enjoyed myself. The day was so hot I decided to try something I never do..... wear a skirt without tights. Any one who knows me knows I am not one for showing my legs. I had a bad accident on my leg about 10years ago and have since then been very Concious of the scar on my leg. But I am glad I did it as I noticed I have a nice pair of legs if I may say so myself.

I was really proud of myself wearing this mini skirt in public without tights and not caring what anyone thought.

Through out the week, the weather stayed warm and beautiful. Our villa was nicely located close to the shops, restaurant and amenities.

We had lil forest friends pay us a visit. There was squires, rabbits, swans and ducks.

The best thing for me was the Aqua Sana. There is about 15-20 different saunas within one building, a massive swimming pool with jacuzzi, showers with different pressure and smells (mint, tropical, rain...) & water beds to relax or sleep as some people were doing.

Overall I enjoyed my holiday, The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and most of the staffs were willing to chat with you and actually acted like they cared.

Would I go again? Definitely yes!!!!

Celebrating Love

Hello lovely people, hope you all had a fabulous week/weekend.

Well mine has been busy with a few assignments to hand in, work changing procedures and expecting everyone to just glide with the changes.

Anyways on Wednesday was my 2nd anniversary with my lovely MR(smiling like a child with candy). We couldn't celebrate as it was a weekday and I've got uni and work and don't get home till 10.30pm. So we decided to celebrate on Saturday.

I was given the task of picking a restaurant and making the booking. The MR has always done all the bookings/arrangements for everything we do.

Anyways I finally made the booking on Wednesday for Saturday for Ask Italian Restaurant. We went in and noticed a new manager who seemed like the nice but no nonsense kind. We ordered our food, and I noticed my starter never comes out the same way. I spoke to the waitress about it and she said they are still trying out new things and it could change again.

We had a great table, good food and most of all had ourselves to ourselves. I am grateful to have a wonderful man who loves me in my high and low days, loves me for me and always respect my decisions( well he still tells me off when am being silly).

I remember I use to have a list of what I wanted in a guy till I met the MR and found out, a man might have all these qualities but if he isn't a good man at heart and doesn't love me for me, my list is useless.

I know I didn't blog about this as I wasn't sure if it was news worthy but I think it is news worthy. On Christmas day, I was presented with a promise ring and I accepted it(whoop whoop). I was shocked at first but thought damn things are getting serious here!!! I am not engaged but engaged if you know what I mean(winking). He said to be patient the engagement ring shall come soon and I can't wait.

I am so happy to finally be with someone for all the right reasons.

Have a great Sunday and speak soon xx

On The Road To HEALTHY

So during the Christmas period in fact from the first week of December I let myself go, in the sense that I eat any and almost everything and lived on Coca-cola and Pepsi.

I went home to my mum's for Christmas and with missing some good home cooking, yes I went in on all I could eat. I knew I would put on some weight so I wasn't even bothered until I noticed some clothes were a bit tight on me.

Overall I like the weight I put on but wasn't entirely happy with the distribution of fat. I noticed most of my fat was in my tummy area and my face which is not flattering at all.

From the first week of March I decided to be healthy by cutting my sugar intake, drink more water and eat in proportions. I am not one for the calorie counting, I believe in eating in proportion, drink enough water and don't totally cut off sweets just have them in moderation.

On my path to loosing a tad bit of weight and staying healthy I try and incorporate some fruits and vegs and must I say I have started noticing some difference.

I went to my doctors and checked my weight. I currently weigh 73kg (11st 6.9lb) and before Christmas I weighed 70kg (11st 0.3lb). My BMI is 26, my doctor says its fine as I am not far from what I should be which is 25.

My intended or preferred weight is 68kg (10st 9.9lb). I will be checking my progress every month. I know loosing weight is a challenge but most of all I want to be happy with the way my body looks and feels. If I feel healthy and I am in shape I am happy.

Anyone on the road to HEALTHY? What's keeping you focus on reaching your goal? And any advise??

I won a Giveaway!!

Hey lovely people!!!

This is my first ever giveaway I've won. I never really enter giveaways as I think 'what's the possibility that lil ole me will win' not a great attitude I must say.

But I entered Abigael's ( giveaway in January and was delighted to be told I WON!!!

The prize included a set of Beyu nail polish, two nail files and an Asa cd. Anyone who hasn't heard of Asa please google the name, her music is uplifting.

I have never tried a crackle nail polish before and was delighted to find out the nail polish set was a nude polish with a black crackle polish. I guess this is an introduction to the crackle polishes I would be trying soon.

Thanks Abigael for picking me, I really do appreciate it.

My laptop has been broken for a while now, I can only blog through my phone which means I can only have all my pictures at the end as the post because that's how it would upload.

Anyways hope everyone has a blessed weekend. Speak soon xx

Birthday Dinner

Hello lovelies, hope everyone is doing good. Thought I share my lovely experience with you.

As it was my birthday on Wednesday, I was treated to a lovely dinner by my wonderful MR.

We went to the Gusto Restaurant in the Albert dock. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and we were sat in the corner, I don't like to be sat in middle of any restaurant especially busy ones, it's hard to make a conversation without shouting over the table.

The meals were really nice, in fact they tasted better than we expected, at the end of meal I ordered a hot chocolate brownie and it came with a candle on top, the 2 staff that brought the dessert started singing happy birthday to me and half the restaurant joined in, I wasn't expecting it, made my night.

Overall I had a wonderful time, it wasn't just a night out to celebrate my birthday but it was also our dinner date night. As we are both busy Mondays to Fridays, we only have Saturdays and Sunday's to do our bonding sessions.

Taste Of Sunshine

Am back! Am back!! Am back!!!!

Hope everyone has had a fab week so far. It was my birthday on Wednesday and am 24 years old, yes I said 24.

Anyways I thought I share my outfit I wore yesterday Thursday as we had a fab weather, well it was more of a taste of whats to come because it's the rest of week and even next week would be cold again. Anyone who lives in the North West of UK would understand how much rubbish weather we get.

Knowing how the weather can switch from lovely to freezing, I decided to wear my not to thick blazer with the sleeves rolled up for the day time and rolled down at night with my scarf in my bag just in case it does get really cold as I work by the river and it tends to get cold at night.

Good news I won a giveaway, details are coming up real soon!!

I read a lot of books but of late I haven’t been reading as much because I think the books take up space in my bag. I miss the days where I finish reading a reasonable sized book within a week in between going to uni and work. So I have been doing some research on the kindle and ipad 2.

At first I only wanted an e-reader (kindle) just to read books but now I am interested in an e-reader with access to the internet (wifi & 3G). My boyfriend thinks it’s a bad idea getting an e-reader with access to the internet because I wouldn’t read any book but would spend all my time on the internet instead.

According to the research i’ve done, the internet on the kindle is basic and might not work on some sites since its main purpose is meant to be an e-reader, while the ipad 2 which i intend to use for leisure really; blogging, shopping, games and maybe take to lectures and seminars in uni, functions better with the internet since that is what it was built for.

I am really torn between sticking to the kindle just for reading books or to get the ipad 2 and get the leisure of the use of the internet. Or should I get both and enjoy the best of both worlds...

If you have either what are your experiences so far? I would really appreciate your input.

My MR.ELF treated me to some ELF glosses just before Christmas. I love ELF Cosmetics as they offer value for money but they do not hold back when it comes to quality. I do own a few products from Elf but this post will be about the new studio glossy gloss (well not so new anymore). When I first received them I was afraid they might be a bit sticky but they weren’t which is a plus for me as I hate sticky glossy.

Left-Right: Sweet salmon, Berry blush, Wild watermelon, Dragon fruit

They are well pigmented and smell nice nothing overpowering. When it comes to lip glosses or lip stick I tend to stick to neutrals and pinks (am gently injecting colour in my life). The lip glosses have a brush applicator which I find ok to use the only issue I have with the brush applicator is when you stick the brush in the tube some of the brush push backwards and this creates like a fly away which am not fond of. But over all I am loving the glosses and intend to but some of the glossy gloss.
